John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

Located on Sarasota Bay, this 66-acre estate features renderings from European artists as well as Cypriot antiquities, American paintings, Asian Art and contemporary works. The Circus Museum displays various pieces chronicling the history of the Ringling Brothers Circus. Also featured is the magnificent Cà d'Zan ("House of John"), a waterfront mansion that was restored in 2002. This Venetian gothic home is known as one of America’s top historic homes.
Winter Estates of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison
The Winter Estates of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison is a Fort Myers historic treasure that one must see. Tours are available year round and include such displays as the original Model T Ford and a collection of over 200 Edison phonographs. The laboratory, where Edison conducted many of his major experiments, has been left untouched. Edison’s botanical garden features well over a thousand varieties of plants that have been imported from all over the world.
